How we ranked the top Sunset Hills movers
Why you should trust us
We take reviews seriously to protect people just like you! Our team has been crunching data on moving companies since 2010. Our math-based ranking system uses data, manual review, and statistical analysis to help you hire the best movers in Sunset Hills, MO.
Rating Methodology
Here's the methodology we used to come up with the best movers in Sunset Hills:
Our original review-based ranking algorithm
We started with a total of 55 companies that offer moving services in the Sunset Hills area.
From these 55 companies, we analyzed a total of 22,066 reviews dating all the way back to December 2007.
We also reviewed a total of 1 state and federal moving licenses from these 55 companies and 193 different 3rd party review and social profiles.
Each of the ~22,000 reviews was scored according to our detailed 11-point rating criteria
This gave us a total of 40,782 data points to compute individual company scores.
Reviews are time-weighted so that more recent reviews carry more weight. This helps you understand how a mover is doing today... not 5 years ago. We have 2,105 Sunset Hills moving company data points from the past 2 years that carry more weight.
Bayesian averages calculated to fairly account for the differences between companies that are newer(like BEK Moving Co.) vs older more established companies (like A-Mrazek Moving Systems).

Frequently Asked Questions About Moving in Sunset Hills
How much should you tip movers in Sunset Hills, MO?
In Sunset Hills, tipping your movers around 10% to 20% of the total cost or $5 per mover per hour is a solid guideline for showing appreciation for their hard work hauling your belongings near I-270 or along Lindbergh Boulevard. Many locals also keep movers energized by offering something refreshing, like a cold glass of sweet tea or a bottle of Fitz’s root beer, especially during those humid Missouri summers.
Is it cheaper to make a DIY move in Sunset Hills?
DIY moves around Sunset Hills can save you money upfront, but consider extra costs like truck rentals, gas, and unexpected fees if you underestimate the distance on Lindbergh Boulevard or Tesson Ferry Road. You might also need help lifting heavy items, which adds both physical strain and the possibility of damage without professional assistance. If you decide to handle it yourself, check out moving truck rental locations in Sunset Hills to find the right vehicle.
Should I hire labor-only movers?
Labor-only moves can be a budget-friendly option in Sunset Hills when you only need help loading or unloading a truck, especially if you’re moving to a nearby neighborhood like Crestwood or Kirkwood. You can find hourly movers in Sunset Hills who specialize in this service, saving you money while still giving you the muscle power needed for a successful move.
What if I need to move something special like a piano or pool table?
Specialty moves in Sunset Hills often involve delicate items like pianos, pool tables, or one-of-a-kind statues you might have picked up at nearby antique shops. In these cases, hiring Sunset Hills piano movers or Sunset Hills pool table movers ensures your valuable belongings are relocated safely. These experts have the equipment and experience to handle bulky items, from hot tubs to gun safes, so you can rest easy knowing everything is well-protected on the ride along Highway 30 or I-270.
