Initially starting with just a handful of trailers in Portland, Oregon, U-Haul expanded quickly, pioneering the concept of do-it-yourself moving. By 1955, they operated across most of the U.S. and Canada, and by 1959, they had introduced box trucks to meet diverse customer needs. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, and provides a wide range of moving and storage services, including truck rentals, self-storage units, portable containers (U-Box), and moving supplies. U-Haul is recognized for its commitment to sustainability and community involvement, maintaining a large network of local dealers and leading as the largest installer of permanent trailer hitches and retailer of propane in the U.S.

From these 328 companies, we analyzed a total of 46,470 reviews dating all the way back to August 2005.
We also reviewed a total of 2 state and federal moving licenses from these 328 companies and 960 different 3rd party review and social profiles.
Each of the ~46,000 reviews was scored according to our detailed 11-point rating criteria
This gave us a total of 111,481 data points to compute individual company scores.
Reviews are time-weighted so that more recent reviews carry more weight. This helps you understand how a mover is doing today... not 5 years ago. We have 9,857 Evansville moving company data points from the past 2 years that carry more weight.
Bayesian averages calculated to fairly account for the differences between companies that are newer.
